Well then - I've just got home after 2 weeks of work. How is it going? Pretty interesting - it's nice that I'm not doing the same thing every minute of every day...!
The first week as I mentioned before I was driven up to to Hammersmith by Mo... And although it actually saves me £120 a month to go by car - it just felt a bit like I'd been stripped of my autonomy - having to go in and leave at exactly the same time is fine... Until one person has to stay late or leave early and a train on the day would cost upwards of £20 (£25 return if you book an advance ticket).
So much to Mo's dismay (costs him far more to get the train than drive) I decided that good old Southern Rail (!) would be my mode of transport from now on. Pre-loaded with TV shows / Music and all the extra crap that comes with having a Smart Phone, the train journey this week has seemed effortless. Although I did realise today that True Blood is a bit riské for train time viewing...perhaps I'll find something more fitting like re-watching the whole of the IT crowd!
