So for the last couple of months me and my Hannah (read: fiancée) have been talking about moving out since I've now (at last!...) finished with education after years and years of it.
Short summary:
Third year at College - Just had to finish my Sociology A-level & met Hannah
First year of a Sociology degree @ Brighton - Decided I might have only enjoyed sociology because Hannah was in my class <3
Placement year at Cogapp - Sandwich degree because everyone knows you can't get a job without experience and can't get experience without a job.
So yea - three years *delayed* from the majority of my peers in starting my life. But I don't regret any of the decisions for a minute.
My new job is going well; I'm enjoying the work and the people are nice (everyone in digital media seems to be nice though... am yet to meet any cut-throat types). In fact it's going so well that last Friday I was offered a permanent contract - which I'm really happy about as it dispels any fears I had about moving out and potentially having to find a new job when I *needed* the money for rent, etc.
So we're looking into Hove for flats at around the £600-800 mark. We're not fussy...well, that's a lie. But who isn't going to be fussy about the first place they live and *cue mush* start their lives with their loved one. We basically want a 1 bed place but hopefully with a small garden / patio kinda area so we can put our bikes somewhere and have them not rust in the street like every other bike you see in Brighton.
We had discussed moving between Hannah s work (Hove) and my work (West London) but ultimately we want to live in or around Brighton 'cos that's where it's at, yo.
We've been looking at furniture and all that other jazz you need to live somewhere - even took at trip to Ikea last weekend to peruse some potential house fillings!
That's about it - opened a savings account - need a few k to move out!
Donations welcome!
Cheers.
